Delayed ...

Not sure if any of you out there are waiting with baited breath for my RAK winner to be announced. LoL.

Here she is [as drawn by Jake] :

MyPicture Can you read it? It says ... REBECCA!
Congrats!
Thanks for all the fun comments girls!

I had quite the scrapbook filled weekend. I scrapped Friday night at my LSS. Saturday I had the pleasure of taking the coolest class with none other than Margie Romney-Aslett.
I'm forgetting to mention that she was at the crop on Friday night too. I was able to pick her brain for layout ideas. I'm happy to finally be using some buttons on my pages as opposed to just hoarding them! Margie has a larger-than-life personality. I not only learned some new tricks, but was entertained by her humor as well! The class theme Saturday was a Travel Mini-Book using the new Passport line from Making Memories. So now, I am ahead of the game. I plan to use the mini for our upcoming NYC trip. Only 12 more days! I'll reveal it in it's full glory [ooh, that sounds dramatic] upon our return.
But for now ... some pics.
The redhead in the photo is my new friend Kim. Can't wait until next time girly!

Well, that's what I got today.
Can't forget the SHOUT OUT to The Best Daddy EVAH ... Chris.
An old photo from our Rocky Point trip last fall doing what he does best ... hangin' out & playing with our boys. Yesterday's activities involved going to church in the morning, out to breakfast, and then out to swim in the early evening. It was a nice, relaxed family day.

Come On Down ...

You're the next contestant on ... The Price Is Right. Oh how I dream of hearing my name being called. I am a lifetime fan of TPIR. "Lifetime" meaning ever since I can remember watching television. I even went so far as to construct my own Plinko board at the age of 6. When Chris & I were in Las Vegas in October of '03, I played The Price Is Right nickel slots. Yea. It was awesome.

Are you a TPIR fan? Do you have a favorite game? Have you ever been to the show? Know anyone whose won? Inquiring minds want to know. Okay, maybe just me, but still.

In scrappy news, my Studio Calico kit was destroyed en route to Arizona. Destroyed meaning it WENT UP IN FLAMES. Apparently, the UPS trailer transporting it caught fire. Thankfully, no one was injured. Crazy, huh? Good thing the customer service at Studio Calico is top-notch. I have a replacement coming. I'm not the only one whose kit is in ashes. There were 9 of us. RIP Apple Orchard Kit. I kid, but I don't. All you scrappers out there understand. New, cutting edge, super cute scrapbook product is priceless!

So, leave me a comment. Share your fave TPIR game, memory. Share anything. I will draw a winner by this Sunday (Father's Day).

Here's my RAK:

It's rather Summery, don't ya think? There are some 'oldie but goodie' patterned papers, a 7 Gypsie's Accordion Purse, Loteria cards, vintage buttons/ribbon slides, labels, & a piece of oil cloth.
Hope you like.

Kung Fu Love

Last week I got lucky & won passes to see Kung Fu Panda. The boys were thrilled to say the least. It was my first time seeing an advanced screening of a movie. There definitely is a strategy to it. I redeemed our passes early yesterday morning at the box office. We got to the theatre early as well. Good thing it is located inside a mall ... Chris hung out with the boys at the indoor play area while I grabbed a spot in line. Was the extra 'work' worth it? YES! The movie is super cute. I *LOVE* Jack Black! He is hilarious. Staying true to American consumerism, I bought Mike some Kung Fu Panda action figures yesterday too. The boys get a good giggle when they see the previews on TV for the movie. When the voice says, "Coming June 6th", they say, "We saw it three days early!"

I have been in the process of re-organizing my craft room. When I say "process", I mean that I started. [& haven't finished].
Today's the day. The day to get it done.
So then just maybe, I can scrapbook! I have a long list of thank you cards to get out as well.

And in really, really, really EXCITING news, Chris & I are on countdown to a vacation.
Yes. You read correctly. Vacation. As in Chris & I. As in, JUST THE TWO OF US!
It is a belated graduation gift [from the Tucson Fire Academy]. I had the idea to surprise him last year with a trip to NYC. Only it was bad timing. Chris was still under a lot of stress, getting ready to go 'on shift'. He also had 2 Module Exams and Oral Board's to get through. I didn't believe that a year could go by so quickly. But it has! Chris is just about to go off of 'Probationary Firefighter' status. Yay! We are fortunate enough to have a dear friend who has an apartment in NYC ... right off of Central Park! She won't be in the city while we are there & offered it to us! It's a short trip ... five days, four nights. But it will be jam-packed! We are catching a Yankee's game, seeing some of Chris' family, & going to The Met for starters.

And just because I can't post without pictures ... here are some fun one's of the boys!
